Research Focus
Jake Saunders, Vice President, Asia-Pacific & Advisory Services, heads ABI Research’s Asia-Pacific research division. Jake brings highly developed analytical skills to the company, combined with years of expertise in the technology market research business and a proven track record of operations management. He devotes particular attention to the Asia-Pacific market in relation to its mobile operator strategic positioning, infrastructure vendors, mobile device vendors, and chipset manufacturers.

Past Experience
Prior to joining ABI Research, Jake was a Research Director at Concise Insight, a leading U.K.-based wireless market research company. Before that, he served as Director of the Strategis Group’s European office.

During more than 20 years of telco consulting and analysis, he has advised global media on a number of telecommunications developments. In addition to telco industry journals, he has been repeatedly interviewed on CNBC, BBC World, Channel News Asia, and CNN International.

Education
Jake holds an MS in Technology Management from the University of Manchester.

Research Focus
As part of the Custom Research team at ABI Research, Industry Analyst Matthias focuses on 5G infrastructure and relevant technologies, including Radio Access Network (RAN) deployment, spectrum allocation, and cloud-related issues.

Past Experience
Before joining ABI Research, Matthias worked in the regulatory department in M1 Limited in Singapore where he covered a wide range of legislation and regulatory matters related to the Singapore telecommunications industry. Matthias also worked on public policy matters related to active mobility during his time at Land Transport Authority, Singapore.

Education
Matthias has a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) from the Singapore Management University.
