My name is Roberto Napione, I’m working in SKF since 1992 . I’m mechanical engineer ; I studied at Politecnico of Turin quite an important University used to form engineer for the most important companies in Italy.
All my career has been in Manufacturing; I started as quality manager , then as manufacturing manager. In 2003 I became factory manager of one of the biggest MU in SKF producing Hub bearing . 800 people and 250 M€ turnover.
After this experience I choose to work in the manufacturing development area , at the beginning at business Unit level , then at Division level; I manage  manufacturing process , investment , footprint and EHS.

But new challenges are coming : so we decided from 2016 to have more focus on machines . I built the Machine Center of Excellence , at Group level, to focalize standardization and the machine technology step up needed entering in the 4 th industrial revolution.
We have now MCE’s in Sweden , Italy, France, Germany and China and others will come
A mix of traditional knowledge in core processes and new projects in new area as robotics is what we are doing
Personally my passions are: skiing, playing tennis, reading and my son ! I m married since 1992.
