As Vice President Technical Solutions & Marketing, Marine Products for Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) and tech-evangelist, Nakul is deeply engaged in the ongoing transformation of the company’s digitalization position. A self-confessed Intrapreneur, supporting a renewed focus on customer co-creation and speed of execution for product development, along with customer experience innovations, such as ChatBots and Augmented Reality, he strongly advocates the positive role automation and robotics can play in operations. Combining a wealth of maritime sales, operations and management experience, with qualifications in marine engineering, Nakul also has direct maritime experience, from his years at sea working as an engineer. A keen commentator on maritime innovation and digitalization, he is a regular on various industry panels and speaker at public forums.

"The pop in my job is to challenge myself and my colleagues to stay curious and embrace new ways of solving pain points – to see them succeed and to see how small ideas mushroom into big gamechangers is extremely satisfying. My passion is to trigger the maritime industry to shed its image of being old, staid and boring into being recognized as the back bone of sustainable global trade and the excitement that brings."
