Roberto Giavazzi is Director EMEA-MOM Portfolio Development at Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services with 10 million licensed seats and 70,000 customers worldwide. Headquartered in Plano, Texas, Siemens PLM Software works collaboratively with companies to deliver open solutions that help them turn more ideas into successful products.
Founder of a MES (Manufacturing Execution System) company in 1991, in 1998 he joined Orsi Group (company acquisition) as VP for MES Strategy and member of the board. In 2001 Siemens acquired Orsi Group and since then Roberto covered different management roles at Siemens. 2012 - 2015 he led the MOM (Manufacturing Operation Management) innovation project (Industry 4.0) at Siemens as Head of Product Management. Since 2016 he is part of Siemens PLM Software organization as Director of EMEA MOM Portfolio Development.
He studied Electrical Engineering at High Technical School of Bergamo (Italy) and since 1985 he developed his professional expertise in several countries (primarily US, Germany, UK, Spain, China and Brazil). He speaks fluently Italian (mother tongue) English, German and Spanish. Roberto is currently living in Bergamo (Italy), he is married to Rosanna and they have two daughters.
